The Tree House Children's Centre are looking for a unique individual to join our team. Level Three or equivalent in Early Years is essential with at least 2 years experience in a supervisory role. Knowledge of the EYFS is essential.
We are extremely lucky to have a beautiful outside area for the children to enjoy and we strive to create a home from home atmosphere throughout the nursery and consider ourselves a little family.
The children at our setting lead their own play to promote their independence and their overall holistic development. Our approach is quite unique and to gain a full appreciation of what this role would entail a visit to the setting is essential.
As the setting is based within an abundance of trees, bushes and masses of grassy play spaces and other hidden treasures, any person taking on this role must have an appreciation for nature and be prepared to be green fingered, as the majority of outdoor maintenance is undertaken by staff. Owning a pair of wellies is a must!!!
Responsibilities and Duties
The Deputy Manager will work within a room and will have key person responsibilities in addition to managerial responsibilities. The Deputy Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the setting in the absence of the nursery manager.
Qualifications and Skills
The applicant must have a minimum of an appropriate level three qualification. Experience within a senior role is essential. It will also be expected that the applicant has sound knowledge and experience in safeguarding, special educational needs, inclusion etc. Communication skills must be of a high standard including good handwriting skills.
