An excellent opportunity to work as part of the award-winning Bertram Team.

This post is for our Corner House Day Nursery at Spylaw Road.

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will work with children from birth to five years of age, helping them to develop and learn.

The successful candidate will be working as part of our team to deliver outstanding care whilst providing a safe, fun and progressive learning and development environment for children to grow their interpersonal and academic skills.

Your main responsibilities will be: planning and evaluating and recording learning experiences, create fun learning environments both indoors and outdoors, support and promote positive professional relationships with your team and service users.

To be successful for this position the candidate must:

Have an HNC or SVQ 3 related to Early Learning and Childcare or equivalent qualification and be able to implement this in practice.

Be able to demonstrate their commitment to children at all times taking into consideration their well being, safeguarding and development.

Be an excellent communicator and demonstrate a professional level of written communication skills.

Have the ability to work with colleagues to make positive changes within the nursery following the Pre-Birth to 3 Guidelines and Curriculum for Excellence.

Previous experience of working with children in Early Years is essential and it is required that you are able to be registered with the SSSC and PVG Scheme.
