Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our small group of three nurseries for a Manager at one of our Warsop nurseries. The desired candidate will be a successful manager whom has led a team through a good/outstanding OFSTED inspection or experienced Deputy Manager. As deputy, you will have a proven record of managing a nursery in the absent of a manager and have demonstrated the necessary skills, drive and passion to progress to the position of manager. Recently rated Good by Ofsted the nursery is well established and is a hub of the local community and offers a friendly working environment. We are looking for a manager with the necessary skills to support, motivate and develop staff whilst calmly and confidently deal with the day to day challenges of a busy nursery. The successful applicant will skilfully adapt their approach to meet the needs of the children, parents, staff and outside agencies demonstrating a professional manner at all times.

Responsibilities and Duties

Main Responsibilities

Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and where necessary, update in accordance with new legislation.

To be responsible for high quality teaching ensuring the best outcomes for children.

Develop staff through observation and discussion to identifying staff training needs, implement individuals training requirements

Accurate and timely record keeping

To build strong working relationships with staff, parents and outside agencies

Work within financial budgets

To promote the aims, objectives and vision of the nursery

The day to day management of the nursery.

Qualifications and Skills

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years with minimum 3 years childcare experience

Sound knowledge and the confidence to address safeguarding concerns, issues

Detailed knowledge of The Early Years Foundation Stage

The drive to support, encourage and develop staff to deliver high quality teaching within a nurturing environment

Effective communication skills to build strong working relationships with children, parents, staff and outside agencies

Accurate record keeping and the ability to work within budgets

Ability to share the nursery vision and ethos with all, to lead from the front in order to achieve the desired aims and outcomes

A sense of humour

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £19,000.00 to £24,000.00 /year
